Jim Morris has 30 years of experience working and leading in purpose-driven consulting and learning organizations. He has a rich background in leading and facilitating organizational change efforts through both his work inside of companies as an executive and leader and, as an external coach and consultant. Jim now works with leaders to develop and hone their inclusion skills, while helping their organizations make sure their work sticks at a systemic level. He facilitates, speaks, and writes extensively on the topic, and delivers workshops and keynotes to corporate audiences globally. His approach is focused on helping organizations find sustainable, self-replicating solutions that make change efforts achieve long term results.
Jim began his career as an educator (as much to learn as to teach) and earned his stripes working in experiential and adventure-based learning programs first for school-aged students and eventually for corporate leaders and teams. His perspective on leadership is grounded in firsthand experience, having held leadership roles at the Santa Fe Mountain Center, Outward Bound, Pecos River/Aon Consulting, one world learning, WMFDP |FDP Global, and Unstoppable Performance Leaders. He has been an adjunct faculty at Duke Leadership and Training Associates, Virginia Tech, Executive Forum, and The American Leadership Forum.
Jim was the CCO of White Men as Full Diversity Partners, a brand leader in the engagement of white men in DEI&B. In this role, Jim and his team lead the firm through enormous expansion and the pivot to virtual session facilitation in response to the COVID pandemic, all while managing almost 30 percent of the firm’s client protfolio.
Jim is a seasoned executive coach. His coaching process is derived from his experiece as a senior leader and informed by his knowledge and passion for provoking learning in his clients. His passion is to help leaders learn to extend their impact for personal, organizational and global transformation, specifically in the areas of DEI&B and environmental responsibility.
In addition to an extensive library of blogs on leadership and diversity, Jim has thus far authored 2 books; a book on leadership titled The Five Insights of Enduring Leaders (2007) and Gaslights and Dog Whistles – Standing Up for Facts Over Fiction (2022).
