John Metcalf has 30 years of financial and operational management experience, with 19 years as CFO for both privately held and public companies including Mitsubishi Silicon America,WaferTech, Siltronic, Electro Scientific Industries, and VC backed Colorado MicroDisplay. During his career, John has negotiated and closed successful acquisitions and major financings of up to several hundred million dollars, directed the reengineering and turnaround of three companies, implemented systems, and provided financial and operational leadership through periods of dramatic growth as well as through downturns.
Currently, John serves on the board of directors and is audit committee chairman for two public companies, ParkerVision (NASDAQ:PRKR) and Energy Connect (OTCBB:ECNG). John started his career with AMD in Silicon Valley, during the company’s growth from $30 million to over $1 billion in revenue. During his eleven years with AMD John held a number of increasingly responsible financial management positions including Director & Controller of North American Operations and Controller of International Operations.
John holds an MBA in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing from the University of California, Berkeley.
